Fun with Marley

Okay, so we have had Marley for about three weeks. In that time we have cleaned up many accidents, had many nips, but most of all we have had lots of laughs. Dipstick still is stand-offish, but during moments that Paul and I aren't looking she will try to play with Marley.
Aunt Kenzie bought a bumblebee dog costume and wanted to see if Dipstick would wear it...about a minute in it Dipstick rolled over on her back and sat there until the suit was removed. I think this will be a one time deal only!!

We then got the brilliant idea to put Marley in the costume. I must say it was too big but he did look really cute. Paul says that I am going to give him a "Nancy" complex. I firmly disagree! The lighting in this picture is horrible but I really like it because Marley is jumping!

How innocent he looks sitting here on the bed....only one move later and an attempt at eating the camera.
Marley trying to eat the camera while I was trying to take a picture...who won the battle?

Marley's first snow. The moment that he went outside he began licking the snow. Paul was walking him and I was trying to take pictures. I guess it's all fun and games until someone slips and falls in the snow (along with the camera, which is fine thankfully!)

Marley being a little cuddle bug. He has definitely become my dog.
A rare moment where Dipstick allowed Marley to sleep next to her. Most of the time when he comes near she gets up or growls. I am hoping that this is a phase!

Pet Peeves

Okay so here's my list of current pet peeves:

1- Friends thinking you are having a mid-life crisis when something is done to express ones self...I (Briana) got my cartilage in my ear pierced. WOW how mid-life is that??? Also, I'm only 31 and with the medicine these days I could live til 100 years of age...I'm in the prime baby!
2- Dog pee that comes with having a new puppy...Marley is peeing every 10 minutes, I can't keep walking him.
3- Washing machines getting off balanced right when you sit down to the computer.
4- Having to wash pee filled rags everyday and then the said washing machine getting off balanced.
5- Fear when there is none except of God.
6- Babies that are everywhere and wishing for one too...all in God's time, I know.

I'm done venting....for now. B

Marley

So we put Copper down on Christmas Eve and Dipstick was beside herself. It was decided that we needed a buddy for Dippy. On Saturday the 27th we went to Pickens, SC to look at some puppies. To my suprise we found a mini-Copper. I knew that we had found our match. He is a handful, and very playful. We named him Marley. Yes, I know everyone says you named him after the movie, but all of our animals have been named after a movie character. Copper was from "The Fox and The Hound," Dipstick was from "101 Dalmations," we had a cat named Spock after the "Star Trek" movies....Marley just seemed to fit. And in our defense we both read the book long before there was a movie.
